Simple Tuna Melt Sandwich

Guess what’s right around the corner?ย  Earth Day!

I figured what better way to celebrate than to share a simple and family friendly recipe that we enjoy in our house:ย  A simple tuna melt!ย  The best part is that it gives back to the environment. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now, you’re probably thinking “Okay Morgan, how does a tuna melt help the environment?“…

Well, I use Wild Selections Tuna whenever I have a recipe that calls for tuna.ย  Wild Selections prides itself on being environmentally conscious and aware.ย  See that blue eco label on the top right of can pictured above?ย  That’s the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) Certified Sustainable Seafood label.ย  The tuna is also Non-GMO Project verified + simple and all natural (which are important to me in selecting food that I feed my children).

One other thing that Wild Selections does is that it’s paying it forward by donating thirteen cents per can to the World Wildlife Foundation fishery improvement and marine conservation projects.ย  Their belief is that the ocean needs to be taken care of for the future; not just stability in the present.ย  I wish more companies would think like this!

So are you hungry for some delicious tuna yet?!
