1st appointment was today! :)

My hubby and I went today for our first appointment.  We saw the mid-wife at the practice and the only thing that happened today was an internal exam.  I also had to pee in a cup but won’t hear anything about that until our next appointment.  Also, I have to go to base (as a reminder, hubby is military and most medical stuff has to be done there due to our insurance) and get lots of blood work done.  AND here is the best thing…..I have an ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday!!!  Because we can’t pinpoint an exact due date due to me coming off the pill and my schedule being a little messed up, they are doing an ultrasound to measure the baby and date the pregnancy.  The mid-wife said during the internal exam that I felt 7-9 weeks…which I’m pretty sure I’m 9 weeks since I found out 6 weeks ago that I was pregnant and it takes almost 3 weeks after your period to get a ‘positive’ result on a home pregnancy test.  Anyway, I just need to relax, stop thinking about anything negative possibly popping up and just chill out.  I’ll feel a lot better after Tuesday…
