Glitter Nail Polish Tutorial

Can anyone tell I was bored this weekend?  But look at what I found out that I can do!  Glitter nails!!!!  And if I can do it….anyone can do it!
Want to learn how?  Well, read on!
 First, you need:
Yep, drugstore cheapies!
1 regular nail polish color
1 glitter polish
1 clear coat
*Any colors will work, just be creative!*
Next:
You will free-hand a french manicure with your solid nail polish color.  I’m really horrible at this, but trust me, you won’t tell after you start with the glitter.  Just paint the tips of your nails and fight the need to be perfect.
Then:
Paint the tips with glitter…once again, you don’t have to be perfect, just make sure to get a ton of glitter on the tips.  Give it a minute or two to dry.  This will allow you to fade the look down the nail.
After a minute:
Paint down the nail….this might take a little practice.  If I had too much glitter on the brush, I would wipe it back into the bottle and slowly put it on my nail getting lighter the further down the nail I got.
Finally:
Add a top coat to help seal and smooth the glitter.  Like I said, it may take some practice but it’s way too cute not to try!  🙂  Oh, and even my horrible left handed painting job turned out great on my right hand! What do you all think??

I wish I had long nails so I could do this! So fun! My nails are horrid, though.. haha.

Oh, and friend, if you EVER get the chance to PCS overseas.. do it! Seriously! I won't lie, it's VERY hard being away from family.. especially this far.. BUT it's an amazing adventure! And the overseas military community (from my experience) is very tight-knit.. like family. 🙂

Haley..I've only had nice nails while pregnant! Before they were thin and would break easily and now they are super hard and grow really fast. I think I'm really going to miss them when they go back to normal after the baby is born. 🙁

How long are you guys overseas? Do you know where you'll be headed to (or where you would like to go) next?
