My Life is Lacking Organization

Time to get organized!

I’ll be the first one to admit I am a totally unorganized person…and I always have been.  Normally I’ll go on binge where I’m bound and determined to organize everything, from how I do laundry, to the kitchen, to my sewing room and so on…but it only lasts a short time before I let everything go again.  Grr…totally frustrating.  And I don’t mean to be like that, it’s just that life takes over and organizing seems to be more work than making things easier.

I’m the type of person where there may be disorganized chaos but I still seem to know where everything is (the keys are under my the iPad….or Mabel’s little jumper is sitting on top of the dryer…my mind just seems to work like that) and then if I go and try to straighten things up…that’s when I lose things and become completely disoriented.  And it drives me nuts if my husband thinks he’s helping me out by cleaning/organizing for me because then I absolutely have no clue where he puts things!

Ha!  Some of you must know what I’m talking about!

Anyway…this past week I took ‘off’ from the blog.  I was way overdue for planning and organizing.  Most of the time when it comes to blog posts, I will write them on a whim.  You know, something will just pop into my head and I’ll just write…but that’s not always the easiest thing to do.

Sometimes I have writer’s block and I have no clue what to write about…and in these cases I figured I should have a plan.  After stumbling upon a post written by Melissa over at The Life of a Not So Ordinary Wife on her new Life Planner from Erin Condren I got excited about getting one for myself!  I figured I could use it to plan my posts a month in advance and never be stuck with a day of not knowing what to write again.  It’s great for when you have those brief ideas of great post topics pop into your head!  I just make sure to write them into the planner right away!  Also, I can keep track of my other obligations whether it’s something relating to my Etsy shop or social media stuff.

So I headed over to the Erin Condren website, picked out my Life Planner (this is the one I got and I love it since it’s completely customizable!!!), bought it and waited.  Yep…waited.  It takes close to three weeks but I tell you it was way worth it!

This is how it showed up:

My name!  Love the fancy shmancy box…I’m a sucker for cute packaging!

There is it in all its glory!

So…now I have no excuse for not getting organized…um, well….getting the blog organized.  I’ll eventually get to the other parts of my life/home, ha!

Maybe…

Great post! I’m going to be getting one of these for sure. It’s just so hard to choose which one. They all look amazing. Did you get any of the extras? I think I’ll get the pens. Oh, did you go for the 12 month or 17 month?

    xx

Oh wow, I will definitely bee getting one of these too – I love how it’s not a huge planner like the ones you can get from Target or other stores – and it’s personalized! I love the entire thought of this, I am an OCD organization neat-freak. This is perfect, so thank you so much for sharing. I am also unsure which version to get… I guess I will probably go with the 17-month.
