Am I a Republican or Democrat?

{via}

Neither…I’m registered as an Independent.

And don’t you worry…this is going to be a lighthearted post (the picture above should have let you know that, lol!)  Found that little gem after a friend pinned it on Pinterest.  Made my evening!

I must say that I’m pretty impressed with all of my friends who have suddenly become obsessed with creating new status posts with fancy shmancy words, trying to outdo another friend…or some passive aggressive comment bashing the other side’s views.

Me…I take it all in stride.  Don’t get me wrong, I keep up on politics and know what’s going on in the world.  I’m not the type to try to force my views on someone else or bash someone because of their beliefs.  I guess that’s pretty much the reason why I’m not a huge fan of politics in general.

So…why did I register as an Independent?  Basically because my beliefs vary from topic to topic which makes it incredibly hard to go with just one political party.  Simple as that.

Who will I be voting for?  Not sure yet.  I guess I’m that precious ‘undecided voter’ the news talks about that the candidates are vying for.

Looks like this guy can’t decide either, haha! {via}

I hope to be decided soon and I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of either candidate…so I just have to determine who is the lesser of two evils, ha!  I can’t help but feel that whenever I see an interview from either candidate that they are acting for the camera or saying what others just want to hear.  You know…kind of like a used car salesman.

Oh, politics…you can’t live with them and you can’t live without them.

What’s your take on the political drama?  Leave me a comment!

    I from the UK. I have been following the election drama. I’m pretty sure if I was an American, I’d be going for Obama. I think the Romney’s are great, but not for me.

    I encourage you, as a new mother, to look closely at Obama’s agenda on education. He is a strong advocate for improving public schools, making early childhood education available to all children, ensuring high quality teachers are in every classroom, and making college affordable to everyone. I think beautiful little Mabel needs policies like these as she begins her educational career!

    oh man..let the political fight begin…even innocent posts like this is going to give you 100 comments about what someone else thinks about your vote, and some might not be nice

    Visit the website http://www.isidewith.com/ and take their little quiz.

    It asks for your opinions on all kinds of political things– social, economic, etc. issues then figures out where you stand in relation to the presidential candidates. I am very much independant like you and honestly have been unimpressed with both candidates so I took the quiz and found out that actually I’m 93% aligned with Romney– which surprised me. I think it’s a really useful tool for those of us that could generally care less about politics (but do care enough to vote!). Anyway, go check it out! 🙂

    Hey just thought I would share who I’m voting for. I’m not usually into politics but this year Gary Johnson has caught my eye lol. He is the libertarian candidate. One of my favorite things he is for is the school vouchers. Being a mother of two very young girls.. That’s what is on my mind 🙂 if you haven’t heard of him, I would recommend you at least look him up.

    No reason to choose from just the 2 parties – I support whoever Ralph Nader backs, unfortunately this year that candidate is not on our state ballot, so will be voting for the green party. Not to win, but just to show them that people can think for themselves and do not follow the crowd by picking the lesser of two evils.
