With the date set for our family photos to be taken quickly approaching, I figured I needed to start doing some more exercises. And preferably exercises that I could do here and there for 20-30 seconds in between my mom duties. Sure, I’ve lost all of the baby weight and then some, but nothing is toned and I’m still not completely happy with where my body is yet. Some of you may remember my older posts on buying the Brazilian Butt Lift workout DVDs and the Xbox Zumba game…both of which I like, but for the life of me, I can never find 45 minutes of uninterrupted time to ever get them completed! So onto plan b or maybe I should call it plan p (as in Pinterest).
If you haven’t discovered Pinterest yet…you need to! It’s a treasure trove for a ton of info, including tons of workout information all packed into one place. Let me show you my favorite pins that I’ve found and started using to workout over the past few days. All the workouts that I’m linking for you can be broken down to do here and there when you have a minute (or in my case, when Mabel’s happily playing with something long enough for me fit in 20 crunches!). I know they would be more effective if done in one whole workout session, but I figure doing chunks of working out when I have a few minutes is better than nothing!
My trouble spots after the birth of Mabel have been my hips/thighs, butt (a flat toosh has been a problem even before Mabel was ever in the picture, lol!), and of course my abs. So, those are the 3 sections I link to within this post. : )
This is a HARD workout. I’ve been doing a modified version of 12 reps of each until I get good enough at those in order to increase. This chick also has a great blog, so check it out!
*Very easy to follow photos and directions. No extra workout equipment needed.
*I really like the the exercises in this workout. Easy to follow and the items required are either household items or simple items like a pair of weights.
*Another easy to follow workout with video demonstrations of each exercise. AND Fitness Magazine is a great website with lots of other resources.
If you’re interested to see other pins that I’ve found, I have a whole board on Pinterest dedicated to improving my fitness. It’s titled Fitness After Birth and you can click it to be taken to my pins. 🙂
