Bubble Up Pizza Recipe

Bubble Up Pizza Recipe - very easy pizza that is quick to make on a busy night for dinner.

I had been seeing a lot of things recently online about Bubble Up Pizza but never took the time to read the recipes until recently.  Pinterest is flooded with lots of different ways to make it so what I figured what I’d do is combine what I liked about one recipe with another recipe and drop what I didn’t like about another.  Hmm…I think I just made that sound way more confusing than it needed to be.

It’s really easy to make and there’s pretty much no way to screw it up!  So here ya go:

Ingredients:

1 jar of pizza sauce
a bag of Mozzarella cheese (at least 2 cups worth)
2 cans of layered buttermilk biscuits (the smaller ones work best, like Pillsbury Grands Jr)
pepperoni

Directions:

*Preheat your oven to 375 and grease a 9×13 baking dish, then set it aside.

*In a large bowl take the biscuits and pull them apart to smaller chunks (4-5 pieces per biscuit) and drop them in.

*Next, pour all of the pizza sauce, 1 cup of Mozzarella cheese, and 25 pepperoni slices into the bowl with the biscuits.

*With your hands, mix the biscuits, cheese, pepperoni slices and sauce.

*Once mixed, move the mixture evenly into the baking dish you greased earlier.

*Top the mixture with Mozzarella cheese (add a little or a lot) and extra pepperoni slices to your liking.

*Bake for 30 minutes.

Enjoy!

NOTE – feel free to experiment with adding other pizza toppings or different types of meats.

I’m wondering if this sort of recipe would work with buns that are already baked!? I hosted this weekend and have a lot of leftover buns and cheese. A recipe like this would be perfect to use it all up.
