Wordless Wednesday – A New Owner

My first dslr

This week I’m saying goodbye to an old friend…my first ‘big girl’ camera.  I’ve had this guy for a year and a half, have learned how to use my camera on manual, and have caught many moments of Mabel’s first year with it.  I’m a bit sad to see it go but am happy that it’s getting a new life with my mother (Mom, you better learn how to use it!).

Good-bye my first real dslr….and hello to my new dslr…let the learning process begin all over again!

Is this your D5100? I adore mine! But don’t have a clue how to use it lol. What did you upgrade to? Just curious, how did you learn how to use yours?

I own a Sony Alpha 58 and I love it! It doesn’t take a lot getting used to it. Most of the time you want to take a spontneous shot and don’t have a lot of time to adjust. Auto focus works perfect with it and it has a lot of great features. Espescially taking pictures at night, you wouldn’t believe how great they turn out!

I have a Canon Rebel T2i and I love it!!
I bought it last year on a whim and I’m so glad I did. I own 3 different lenses for it but have yet to take it off manual. I’d like to take some classes to learn how to use it. I did but a Groupon for an online class, but haven’t used that either..I suppose I should!

Hopefully you have gone Canon this time – 6D is the ticket for what you do and the price is super right now. Once you go full frame you will never go back and high iso noise is the best of any camera right now
