This past weekend was spent fixing a few things up around the house.
And Mabel made sure to oversee it all. She’s a little taskmaster…
Nothing means business like a big hair-bow and some Toms shoes, lol! Honestly, I think she was puzzled as to why Grandpa and Daddy were messing with lights on the outside of the house.
The old ones that were on the house when we bought it were a rusted mess…like you’d get Tetanus just from looking at them…they had to go.
She was more interested in the foam inserts in the box than the actual lights. I don’t blame her.
And yes, I’m still totally jealous of those lashes that she got from her father.
And of course she had to remind Tater that she loved him, even though he spent the day stuck inside.
She kept blowing him kisses and then saying ‘Tay-Tay Dop!’ when he’d bark. Apparently barking isn’t allowed.
But after the hard work of watching the guys put up the lights, it was time to hop on her new ride…well, it’s not actually new, it’s from Christmas but the weather is finally getting nice enough to where she can actually enjoy it.
They see her rollin’…they hatin’….
Haha, that couldn’t be further from the truth but now that’s going to be stuck in my head all day.
Sweet baby was on a mission to spot planes; it’s her new obsession. As soon as she sees one she yells ‘plaaaaaane!’ And just her luck, a big C17 (I think that’s what it was) flew over from Dover AFB.
Success!
Such a serious look of satisfaction…and then she decided to ditch her bike and run off…
Note the flowers in hand. At least she has her priorities…
Our day concluded with some cold ice water on the deck and some BBQ. What more could a toddler want?
Such a great day!
