The Halfway Point

20 weeks pregnant view from above
View from above at twenty weeks!

Halfway there…cue The Little Engine That Could mantra:  I think I can, I think I can.

Baby #2 (still no name yet) was officially 20 weeks on Sunday and there is a light at the end of the tunnel now, I mean I guess there should be…but all can think of is how much bigger I have yet to grow.  It is what it is and as soon as I meet that little baby all the discomfort will be all forgotten.

Let’s see, I’ve gained a total of 11/12 pounds since we conceived.  Not too shabby…I’m on better track than I was on for Mabel’s pregnancy (I won’t even go there today about how much extra I gained!).  But I’m not stressing too much on that.  Heartburn owns me, my face is actually somewhat better than the first trimester (no crazy breakouts anymore), waking up to pee twice a night is already my routine, and I get tired easily (that’s not going to change for a while is it?).

Oh and how I could forget:  nesting.  Unlike my last pregnancy where I had ZERO interest in nesting, it’s consumed my life already this time around.  It’s probably a combination of moving and settling in with a dash of wanting to be ready rather than waiting until the last minute like I did with Mabel (I didn’t even have my hospital bag packed until right after my water broke…crazy right?!).

We’re planning to get Mabel’s old crib setup in the baby’s room this weekend.  It’s still in perfect condition so why mess with a good thing?  I’m currently trolling fabric sites to make nursery bedding in the similar style to Mabel’s but I might not do the ruffled crib skirt this time around.  That was kind of a back breaker.  And last weekend I finally got around to setting up my new desk and craft corner.  If you’re curious to why you haven’t seen my Project Life layouts in forever, it’s because I’m insanely far behind…so that needs to get done/caught up on too!

Hmm…anything else?  Nope, it’s been a pretty boring week so far.  😉
