Being Able To Relate

One of the things that I have enjoyed most about blogging is the wonderful community of women that I have met through the creation of Modern Mommyhood.  It’s been a long road so far…I’ve just now passed my two year blogging anniversary and I honestly can’t thank you (my wonderful readers!) enough for sticking with me!

I’ve offered up my life events, challenges and chaotic moments…as raw and real as possible.  From my difficulties with breastfeeding to Mabel’s recent Breath Holding Spell, I’ve gotten lots of comments, emails, and responses from women of how they have gone through similar situations, had felt alone until reading that someone else was going through the same thing, and an overall appreciation to just being able to relate.

Being able to relate….it’s such a powerful thing.

But something has been on my mind over the past few weeks…I feel like I owe you all something more.

I’ve been able to relate to a bunch of amazing women through this community…and yet there are so many situations that revolve around motherhood and being a woman that I am not able to offer you all.

And because of this, I’ve decided to reach out to other women and mothers to share their stories with you.

I hope that by having guest bloggers give a voice to their experiences and situations that at least one person will be able to relate.  These posts will range from serious to lighthearted…all full of raw emotion and truth.  And I can’t tell you how thankful I am to these women who are willing to share their stories on this blog.

I’m looking to learn from these guest posts…and though I may never experience what these women and mothers have gone through or are currently going through…I want to soak them in and grow from their words.  I hope you will too.

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s first guest post!

*If you have a topic that you would like to see in one of these posts or have an idea that you’d possibly like to write, please email me.  Please know that I get a lot of emails and I try my best to answer all of them but it can take me a while to respond*
