I can’t even remember the last Birchbox I posted but it’s been awhile! I actually renewed my subscription 3 months ago since I had been happy with my first year. I don’t get a lot of actual mail, so it’s pretty exciting each month when my box arrives…yes, I’m a dork!
Anyway…I LOVED this box! I think it’s my favorite so far! And pardon the photo quality…Miss Mabel has thrown my phone one too many times.
What was inside:
I was really excited to open this Birchbox and find all of these goodies! I recognized all the brands but Liz Earle and as silly as this sounds, the quality of its box felt like it must be a decent product. Here’s the breakdown:
- Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (full size $21.50) – I’ve only tried it out on my hand so far but it left my skin feeling really soft, hydrated and smelling fresh with a slight hint of mint (I think?). Also included in the box was a Pure Muslin Cloth (2 cloths are $6).
- Benefit Cosmetics Fake Up (full size $24) – Tried and LOVED! It is a great under eye concealer that I found to be very moisturizing and brightening. I’m a fan of Benefit so I’m not surprised that I’m a fan of this product too. I will be buying the full size.
- POP Beauty Aqua Lacquer (full size $14) – I can always use more lip gloss so I was pretty happy to have this included in my Birchbox. It has a hint of color but is pretty sheer too. Not too sticky but I’m not a fan of the applicator (photo included 2 pics below).
- ChapStick Hydration Lock (price not given) – Chap stick is another one of those things that you can never have enough come fall and winter. I have a million tubes because they get left in the car, purse, nightstand and so on. This stick was vanilla which was very light and not overpowering at all. Seemed to do its job quite well!
What was inside the packaging…
You can see in this photo the applicator tip was actually like a little plastic spatula…not a fan. The lip gloss itself was fine but POP Beauty needs to get rid of this crummy applicator.
Overall, I was really happy with this box and next month’s box will have a hard time topping this one. If you’re thinking about Birchbox, you can find out more about it on their site (that’s my referral link).
Also, if you got a Birchbox this month, go ahead and link your post in my comment section! I would love to see what you got!
Ah! SO jealous that you got the Fake Up in your box! I have the Benefit Bo-ing Concealer and adore it, but it’s not really for all over your face, just under your eyes. I’ve been dying to try the Fake Up!
Haley I haven’t tried the Bo-ing Concealer but it’s on my list! Fake Up is really nice but I think might only work for fall/winter since it’s so moisturizing. Did Bo-ing hold up well during the summer heat?
I am SO jealous. I haven’t even got the shipping information for my box yet! :/ But I am really hoping I get the same box or something similar to yours! Love it – I haven’t been too impressed with my last couple of boxes.

I got my box today and LOVED it. I actually really like the paddle applicators. They work better on a twist up product in my opinion though, like Whip Hand’s Lip Hit. I’m glad we got good boxes! My review is here: RandomAmb.wordpress.com
I didn’t get my BB yet, but I looked online and I have the same box as you! I’m so excited to try the Fakeup Concealer!
