Citrus Lane – October’s Box / Review

I’ve been subscribed to Citrus Lane for 4 months now (with my own money) and have been thrilled with every month.  I haven’t done a review yet since every time I bust open a box with Mabel, I forget to take pictures.  Just so happens that this month’s box arrived yesterday and I didn’t see it on the porch until Mabel was already asleep…so that means I got to take my time opening it and take some pics for you all!

Now, I apologize for the quality of the photos…I was once again lazy and took them with my iPhone.

When I opened the box, the first thing that I saw was the letter and on the back is the item/price list of what’s inside.  I tend not to look at it until I look at what’s in the box first.  I want to be surprised by what I see!

This is what I found when I opened the box. (sorry that it’s blurry!)

After lifting the tissue paper, this is what I saw:

Everything is neatly packaged.

And this is all of Mabel’s new loot laid out so that you can see it better:

Woo hoo! Some great stuff this month!

Product and price breakdown:

Munchkin 7oz Click and Lock Trainer Cups – $8.99 for the two pack
In My Den from Chronicle Books – $8.99 (this was my favorite item in this pack, the bear is actually a finger puppet!)
BabyGanics Healin’ Groovy – $7.99
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil Mini – $4.99 (this is a mom item)
Ella’s Kitchen Big Smiles Cheesy Potatoes – $2.49
Bright Starts License to Drool (teething toy) – $2.99

Total retail value = $36.44
What I actually paid = $17 a box (I have a 6 month subscription and then a 20% off coupon when I signed up).

If you’re curious the age range for the boxes are birth – age 3.  And the box contents are determined by your child’s age…so if you have a 2 year old, he/she wouldn’t receive the same items that Mabel got this month.

I recommend that if you are signing up…it’s cheaper to get a longer plan (3 months, 6 months, or 12 months) rather than a month by month purchase.  ALSO keep checking Citrus Lane’s Facebook page since they are always posting discount codes to use when signing up or renewing your subscription!

Let me know if you end up signing up since I’d love to hear what you get each month and compare it to what we got!  🙂

I wish I had the money to sign up for all these fun monthly subscriptions! I really want to try Wittlebee and Citrus Lane!

I splurged though and bought myself a 6 month subscription to LoveClub! Can’t wait for that one to start coming!

I signed up for this month’s Citrus Lane box, my first one. I was pretty pleased, but I really like the Stork Stack boxes a lot better. There was more variety in my October Stork Stack vs. the Citrus Lane October box for newborns. 🙁 I am wondering if I should try again next month or what. I have yet to make my mind up. Looks like you got a bunch of cutesy stuff!

Just signed up for Citrus Lane. I have a 2 year old, so I am anxious to see what comes. I already do Birchbox, and I love the excitement of seeing what that includes. Can not wait for the first box!!!
