Project Life: Week 5

Project Life - Week 5. One page spread and simple. Blue and green!

Here it is:  Week 5!

Late as usual…just like all my other Project Life pages.  😉  I just hope to be caught up by 2015 since I have no clue how I’m supposed to start another album if I’m weeks behind for the previous year.  Yikes!

Anyway, you’ll notice that I kept this week to only one page.  I didn’t take a lot of photos so there was no way that I could stretch it to fit two pages.

I also kept Week 5 very simple.  This was a combination of lack of time due to putting the house on the market and also because sometimes I feel less embellishments speak more than overloading pages.

Project Life - Title and Week Card. Love the simplicity!

Here is a closeup shot of the title card.  I used two simple tags, a week stamp that I bought from Studio Calico (I have a monthly subscription kit from them which I’m still head over heels about!), and two mini staples to help give the tags a little more dimension.  Oh and I almost forgot!  The #5 is embossed…that’s my new favorite thing to do!  😉

Project Life - Week 5 Toy Story Card

Mabel watched Toy Story for the first time so I felt the need to include it.  I loved that movie when I was little so it was nice to be able to share it with her too (can you believe that it’s been almost 20 years since it came out?!).  The little circle tags are from October Afternoon and the Wednesday tag was cut out using my Silhouette.

Project Life - Week 5 This is my favorite card! Simple and gotta love the cork camera with the sequin in the middle!

And this is my favorite card of the spread (even though the photo looks kinda gross).  Mabel shoved a chewed up gummie into her hair.  Great idea, right?!  Well, I was able to get it out without cutting her hair but I felt like documenting this moment so I could hold something over her head when she’s older.  I figured it could be used to embarrass her when I get to meet her future husband.  All I did was take a notepad, type on it with my typewriter and staple it to the page.  My favorite embellishment has to be the cork camera sticker with a sequin stapled in the middle.  Simple but effective!

Week 6 is already done, I just need to upload the photos so stay tuned for that in the next few days!

Lol! What week are you on?! As soon as we get moved into our house in SC, I’m sitting down and doing nothing but scrapbooking for a weekend and making my husband take over all parenting duties so I can get caught up. 😉
