A Father’s Day Sweet Tooth Surprise

Since we are a military family, we never know what holidays we’ll be separated on due to trainings and deployments…so I’ve learned that I have to get creative!

Hubby will be out of town for a lengthy training and I figured I’d surprise him with a little care package from both me and Mabel. 🙂

Can you tell what kinds of things my husband likes?  Lol!

I guess I’m an enabler but I figure if he’s going to be away from home on Father’s Day due to training that I may as well send him some comfort food and his favorite coffee.  And then to make up for the junk food, I decided a good practical gift of an Oral-B electric toothbrush would be perfect!  As I’ve gotten older I’ve found that the practical gifts are the most exciting (I’m totally getting old, ha!).  He’s been needing a new one anyway to replace his old electric toothbrush that’s on its last leg.

I figured while I was at Target grabbing all the candy goodies and coffee, I would be able to grab the electric toothbrush too.  And it was a bonus that the Oral-B toothbrushes were on sale for up to $25 off their regular price (that means more candy for Hubby’s care package!).

These were the two I had to decide between:

Since my husband really isn’t concerned with whitening products I chose to get him the Oral-B Deep Sweep 1000.  I liked how it was electric/rechargeable (no batteries!), removes up to 100% more plaque than manual toothbrushes, and has a deep sweep motion.  And that means no cavities for him too!

I think he’ll be pretty happy and pleased with with his care package.  🙂  My goal is to bring a smile to his face and let him know how much Mabel and I appreciate what a great father he is!
