My tastebuds are thanking Hamilton Beach for sending me the mixers mentioned in this post and providing a set for one of my readers to win!

Cookies and Cream Oreo Brownies Recipe. Fudgey brownies with bits of OREOS smothered with a yummy OREO frosting!

With Father’s Day on the horizon, I’ve been on the lookout for a new recipe that my husband would love…and I’ve found one:  Cookies and Cream OREO Brownies.

They are to die for!  Well, maybe I wouldn’t go that far but they are worth gaining a few pounds for. 😉

Cookies and Cream Oreo Brownies Recipe. Fudgey brownies with bits of OREOS smothered with a yummy OREO frosting!

Hamilton Beach was awesome enough to send over their 6-Speed Stand Mixer and 6-Speed Soft Scrape Mixer for me to try out so I couldn’t wait to break them in and see what they were all about.

The 6-Speed Stand Mixer is fairly petite in size but didn’t seem to lack at all when it came to power!  I used it to mix dough the other day for another recipe and it did a great job!  For this recipe, I had it quickly mix together the brownie batter while I was chasing Mabel around!

I also tested out their Soft Scrape Hand Mixer that I used to whip up the delicious icing for the brownies…

Cookies and Cream Oreo Brownies Recipe + Hamilton Beach Giveaway. Fudgey brownies with bits of OREOS smothered with a yummy OREO frosting!

No more scratches to my bowls and my favorite thing has to be the snap case that holds all the attachments!

Is your mouth watering yet?!

Before I get to the recipe, let me share this awesome giveaway with you!  Hamilton Beach is giving one of my readers BOTH mixers!  Yep, I said both!  The winner will receive both the 6-Speed Stand Mixer and 6-Speed Soft Scrape Mixer!  A retail value of $165!

*Giveaway is open to all residents of the US, age 18 and over.  Also, please note that Hamilton Beach cannot ship to a P.O. Box.  Hamilton Beach is responsible for delivery of mixers.*

Okay, now onto the recipe. 😉

Cookies and Cream Oreo Brownies

Author Morgan

Ingredients

Brownies

  • 1 box of brownie mix I like the fudgey kind and any ingredients the box calls for
  • 1 sleeve for OREOS 12 to be exact, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

Frosting

  • 6 tablespoons of softened butter
  • 3 tablespoons of softened cream cheese
  • 2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon of whole milk
  • About 6 OREOS finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix brownies according to the directions on the box and then add in chopped up OREOS and vanilla extract. My new Hamilton Beach mixer made this a breeze!
  2. Mix brownies according to the directions on the box and then add in chopped up OREOS and vanilla extract. My new Hamilton Beach mixer made this a breeze!
  3. Bake brownies according to box and then LET COMPLETELY COOL.
  4. While brownies are cooling, in a new bowl mix softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth.
  5. Slowly add in powdered sugar, then vanilla, milk and finely chopped OREOS.
  6. Spread frosting on top of brownies (remember, let them completely cool first or you'll end up with a soupy mess!).
  7. Lastly, I took some of the leftover OREO crumbs and scattered them over the top of the icing.

Recipe Notes

Adapted from Mountain Mama Cooks

Just try not to eat them all in one sitting.  😉  Enjoy!

I really enjoy cooking and baking so I have a really hard time deciding what to make. That’s where my husband comes in handy. I usually make whatever he happens to be craving at that moment. You’d think he was pregnant with all the suggestions and requests. 🙂

I have been dying to make my own bread and pastries.. but I only have a hand mixer. There are so many things I would love to make that I haven’t because I didn’t have a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment. Winning this would really make me so happy!

The first thing I would make if I won the Hamilton Beach Mixers is zucchini cake with caramel icing. It’s always homemade but mixed by hand. It would be so much easier with the mixers and probably taste even better since it’s well mixed.

**GIVEAWAY CLOSED** Winner = @shadylynnb! DAY 9 = Santa’s Greeting Block + GIVEAWAY! Santa loves his HO, HO, HOs right?! 🎅🏼🎅🏽🎅🏿 So I figured for Day 9 of the #QuiltmasSpectacular, I’d give you the #SantasGreetingBlock, a free quilt block that’s plain and simple...and all about the man who likes cookies, drinks milk and brings gifts to children. 🙌🏻 What’s there not to love?! ❤️ Find the link in my profile to get your hands on the free pattern for this cute little block! . 258 178
It’s done and is now part of the #quiltsinthewasher gang! 🙌🏻 It will be packed up and shipped off to @themakingsofjoy to then be donated to #quiltsforthefatherless. It makes my heart so happy! 🥰 567 37
I’m another year older 🎉(and hopefully wiser) since I last posted…and figured I’d start by forcing myself to do something other than quilting with straight lines! 🙌🏻😂 I think I’ve put it off for so long since the perfectionist in me can’t stand trying things that I’m not good at (I like living within my quilty comfort zone 🙈). Buuuuut you have to start somewhere right? I’m attempting an orange peel quilting design and I’ll just have to go with the flow and not beat myself up too much over errors. It’s sooooo hard to let go though! I’m sure some of you know what I’m talking about. Wish me luck! 🤞🏻 410 61
🎉 And today the tester celebration comes to an end! 🎉 These final three ladies deserve a round of applause for their #DayTripQuilt versions! 📷 In order of quilty appearance = @finleyfabric, @sarahsew_sew and @spoolsandspice (they are tagged in their photos too!) Head to their accounts to see what they’ve been up to, you won’t be sorry (because who doesn’t love finding new quilt friends?!) And as with every pattern release, I owe a huge thanks to all of my testers. They dedicate themselves to sewing up a quilt and picking over my pattern to make sure all my math is correct along with hunting for all those grammar mistakes. 🙈 All so that my pattern is ready to go for its release date! 🙌🏻 I’m forever thankful to all of the testers I’ve shared with you this past week. 🥰 #patterntester #quiltpatterntester 515 8
Just when you thought I was done celebrating tester pics...I’m not! 📷 Genna of @wetmountainquiltco left me speechless with her #DayTripQuilt and her incredible photos! She is one of my all time favorites at taking #quiltsinthewild pics so go see for yourself over on her account! Stay tuned for the last two tester pics tomorrow. Then I’ll give it a rest! I promise! 😉🙌🏻 . 420 14
🎉Pattern SALE ends tonight!🎉 And I’m still not done sharing gorgeous #DayTripQuilt versions! 📷 Morgan of @morgankellyquilts (we’re name twins!) made a traditional version and came up with such a pretty and unique color palette! You must go take a peek at her account to be inspired by her beautiful makes and perfectly paired fabric combinations! 🥰 #quilt #modernquilt 269 12
