My photos were horrible this week (I didn’t have good light), so I apologize in advance!
So as you can see…just like last week, Week 6 was done on only one sheet. This was the week that we headed down on a road-trip to Texas for Mabel’s birthday.
Another difference this week was I tried a different design sheet (layout). I used Design R…and it’s nice for when you have a lot of vertical photos but it’s going to be a challenge for when I get to Week 7 which will go behind it. Maybe I need to start doing a little more planning rather than winging it…
Here’s the title card:
Since I had a lot of photos for only one page, I stuck the week title in the middle. I used a simple stamp set that I bought from Studio Calico along with some letter stamps that I bought from them too. It was done on plain white card stock that I had sprayed three colors of Mister Huey’s on (also from Studio Calico).
One of my favorite embellishments that I used on this layout were the wood veneers in the shapes of states. The pack had all 50 states so I matched the photos to the corresponding state shape. If I’m remembering correctly, I picked them up at Hobby Lobby.
I was also pretty happy with the embellishments on this card too. I’m beginning to sound like a broken record but they were from my monthly subscription to Studio Calico (the hearts and the ‘traveling’ sticker) with the label being a printable from Studio Calico too.
Lastly…
I had seen this idea floating around pinterest (my PL pinterest board is full of goodies that I found!) so I figured it would be the perfect way to document a road trip! It’s a screenshot on Google Maps from my phone with our route and time it took. I used little puffy geo stickers to mark where we started, stopped overnight and our final destination.
Another week down…so many more to catch up on!
