Weekend Roundup (6/8/13)

This weekend was kind of a random one…

First there was a monster.

Mabel Monster

Mabel had the fun of playing in a sprinkler for the first time this weekend (tomorrow’s post will detail that).  And I have to say she looked super cute in her Mike towel from Monster’s Inc.  😉  I might be a tad partial…

Then there was Franken-Doll.

This was my sorry attempt at making Mabel a handmade doll.  Her name is Medusa…no explaining needed.  Mabel thought it was fun to yank her hair out, so as of right now Medusa lives on the shelf.

And lastly, there was a spider.

A huge, freaking spider.  I don’t like spiders and it’s safe to say that I hated this guy.  With his leg span he was the size of my closed fist.  And no…I didn’t kill him.  By the time I made up my mind to go and get him…he was gone.  As long as he’s not in my house, I’ll be okay.  But I’d be lying if I said every time I feel something on my skin I don’t have a moment of “omg is that the giant spider?!“.

Did you do anything fun this past weekend?  I’d love it if you’d share with me.

Lol! I live in Delaware…and I didn’t see this many bugs (or super huge bugs) when we lived in Colorado. I had no idea there were spiders that size where we live. I think they are harmless but still very creepy!

We have enormous wood spiders. I think they are actually wolf spiders. Scare the hell out of me all the time and my husband too. He found one in the shed and jump right into a hornet’s nest and got stung 5 times over the weekend. I felt bad for the poor fellow but it was funny as hell. Now I have a really cool nest.
