Our closest free-standing Sephora to me is about an hour away…so ordering online is pretty much how I’ve had to shop for makeup since we moved to South Carolina. It’s kind of a submit your order and keep your fingers crossed that you’ll like it when it shows up since you can’t see the true color of the product kind deal.
Here’s my most recent Sephora haul:

I mainly stuck to lipsticks and glosses this time around…I’m not normally a lipstick kinda gal but I figured I’d try something new this time around. Also, I got three brow products…my poor blonde eyebrows are in need of some help, lol!
Okay, let’s get up close and personal…
Left to Right
- Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Noble
- Buxom Lip Polish in Kimberly
- Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Nude
- Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate
First Impressions = I am IN LOVE with the Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipstick! If you’re looking for the perfect nude color, you can’t go wrong Noble. The formula feels pretty moisturizing and not waxy at all. I’ve also found it to be pretty long lasting!
The Buxom Lip Polish is a simple shimmery gloss. The shade Kimberly is perfect for running out to go pick up Mabel/run errands when I feel like I just want a tiny bit of color on my lips. It does tingle, which I guess is due to the plumping formula but nothing that bothered me like other lip plumping glosses I’ve tried in the past. Another winner.
The Too Faced Melted lipstick is exactly what it says it is…liquid lipstick. It has a fuzzy applicator tip which I found to help evenly distribute the color when applying. I was really impressed with the pigmentation since I had thought it was going to be more lip-glossy. Nope, definitely a lipstick! This is also another great nude color if that’s the look you’re going for.
And finally the Korres Lip Butter. This potted lip gloss has a hint of color and nicely moisturizes. It’s pretty sheer, but in the pomegranate color, I was happily surprised with how it looks when applied. It’s perfect for when I’m on the go, the scent is so light that I could hardly tell it had one, and it isn’t sticky.
And I almost forgot about these…these were freebies since November is my birthday month. Sephora gives Beauty Insiders a code for these when it’s your birthday. Now, I like how both of these pencils glided on, but I’m a bit bashful when it comes to bold lip colors. Cruella is a bright red…so I’ll have to work up my confidence to wear that one out! Lol!
Left to Right
Moving on….to brow products! My newest obsession is eyebrows! And let me stress that even though I need a lot of help when it comes to making my eyebrows visible (mine are blonde and disappear) that NATURAL is what I’m after. I will not paint them on and any product that lets someone know right away that I did my eyebrows…is not the right product for me.
Lately, I’ve been doing my brows with the Anastasia Brow Wiz pencil in taupe (not pictured) and am in love with it. The tip is super tiny so it allows you to add in super fine strokes and then finish with the brush included on the other end to make everything look super natural. Because I’ve loved the Brow Wiz so much, I ordered the Brow Powder and the brush. And I can say after a few uses, I’m love them too. Once again, everything looks very natural and doesn’t scream ‘I did my eyebrows!’. Oops, and I don’t want to forget the Clear Brow Gel! Amaaaazing! Helps keep the volume to my brows throughout the day and is actually soft! Drugstore products that I’ve used in the past have been hard and crunchy…yuck!
I already knew I was going to really like this stuff since I had tried a sample a few weeks earlier. A little goes a very long way! Basically, take a tiny scoop of the gel and massage it into your face. The heat from your face will make it melt into an oil and it removes all your makeup…even eye makeup! And after washing off, I really like how it leaves my skin feeling moisturized and not tight. Perfect fall/winter cleanser. I’ll have to see how my skin does with it once the weather warms up in the spring. And FYI, I have delicate/combo skin (oily in the t-zone and dry everywhere else) and this hasn’t made me breakout.
And last but not least…
The highly talked about Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. I’ve heard nothing but great things about this liner as in it’s easy to apply and doesn’t smudge off. I haven’t tried it yet, so I can’t speak about what I personally think but I plan on updating you all in the near future! But the tip looks pretty darn precise! Fingers crossed that I’ll love it…I’m not good at liquid liner or winging out my liner so it’s probably going to take some practice!
Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts? Anything you’re loving lately that I should try out?!
