So Clean It’s Killing Me

My house is as clean as it’s ever been.  And I mean ever.
Like so clean, I can’t find things.

Toddler Wearing Shoes
“Wait Mom, are these shoes supposed to stay in that bin?”

I spent all of this weekend cleaning and getting rid of (or stuffing in closets) extra clutter.  My hands are all dried out from cleaning sprays and I’ve become the queen of blocking off rooms so the dogs and Mabel can’t destroy what took me hours to do.

See…my child had no problem pointing out what she did.  Hey, at least she’s honest, right?

Toddler and Toilet Paper

What I hate the most = vacuuming steps.  Not only did I almost fall down the stairs from trying to lug the vacuum all the way to the top, I noticed all of the stains that my husband had tracked up the carpet with his boots.  I guess I was happily oblivious to them before.

Anyway, while out running errands on this weekend my husband came home with what he told me was a surpriseUm, yeah…that’s like getting your wife a vacuum for Mother’s Day.  But like I said on instagram, sadly enough, I was pretty excited about it.  🙂

Our house was listed Saturday and we had two showings on Sunday…and they both overlapped.  Our realtor said that was a good thing since the realtors who showed our house knew that there was other interest.  I’ll take her word for it.

This house better sell soon since living in our house, constantly knowing I could get a call telling me to get out of the house for a showing is pretty intense when living with a tiny human (Mabel)Selling a house with babies or toddler is not fun!

I dream of cleaning and realtorish things.

We decided to spend our hour and a half of house showing time (me, Hubby, Mabel, and two pugs all shoved in the car) at Sonic.  Our Sonic takes forever to bring you your food, so it was the perfect decision.

At Sonic

I’m pretty sure the pugs will be staying home next time…Bruce is the worst to ride in a car with since he whimpers the whole time…even Mabel was looking at him like ‘What’s wrong with you?’.  Lol, he just can’t handle the excitement.

So after a hotdog, a cherry limeade and some cinnabites (or whatever they are called), we headed home to find two cards:

Realtor Business Cards with a Thank You Note

One left a nice little note on the back.  I was just happy to see that they had actually left cards and had been there…too many times when we had our townhouse up for rent, realtors would make appointments and never show up.  Drove me crazy!  But it looks like we’re off to a good start!

AND as of 7pm Sunday night, we were notified that one of the showings who came by want a second showing on Monday!  Score!

So all I can think is:  Please buy our house…but don’t low-ball us!
