Who’s up for some good old fashioned strawberry lemonade? Me!
Want to make some for yourself…and maybe to share with others?
Here’s what you’ll need:
*A drink pitcher (must hold at least 2 quarts)
*9 lemons
*1 pint of strawberries
*1 cup of sugar
*2 quarts of water
*OPTIONAL – lemon juicer
Here’s how you make it:
*Fill pitcher with 2 quarts of water and set aside.
*Cut 8 of the lemons into halves and juice them. It’s a lot easier if you have a lemon juicer, but I didn’t and I just manhandled them (boy did my hands hurt afterwards!) and squeezed them into a bowl (make sure to remove the seeds if any fall in).
*After you’ve collected all of the lemon juice, pour it into the pitcher with the 2 quarts of water.
*Pour 1 cup of sugar into the pitcher and stir until it dissolves.
*Now get your strawberries, clean them, and cut them into fourths, making sure to remove the stems.
*Add the chunks of strawberries into the pitcher and stir gently (try not to mash the strawberries).
*Last step, slice the remaining lemon and use it to either garnish your glasses or add the slices into the lemonade to add more lemon flavor…and who are we kidding? It makes it look pretty! 🙂
