The Rainbow Jelly Stars Quilt

So you’ve seen the Jelly Stars quilt and now you want to know how to modify it to make your very own rainbow version with Starry prints? Well, I’m here to tell you how I did it!

First things first, you’ll need a copy of the Jelly Stars pattern which you can find in my shop. I promise, it’s a great pattern and you’ll want to make it more than once. 😉

Now you’ll need to round up these fabrics (instead of the listed amounts on the pattern, use these just for this rainbow version). The fabric requirements for the stars (I used Starry Mini in Multi), backing and binding stay the same as called for in the pattern.

Starry Collection (by Alexia Marcelle Abegg for Ruby Star Society)
1/3 yard cuts of:
Plum
Vivid Pink
Warm Red
Papaya
Nutmeg
Saddle
Sunshine
Citron
1/4 yard cuts of:
Pistachio
Turquoise
Dusk
Blue Ribbon
Bluebell
Smoke
Black w/gold

Cut 4 WOF strips from all the colors that have 1/3 yard cuts and then cut 3 WOF strips from the colors that have 1/4 yard cuts. In the Jelly Stars pattern, go to Pre-Assembly step 2 and sew your strips in the exact order of the colors listed above and keep repeating that order until all strips are used. Then continue on to the next step.

Ta-da! Now you’ll be able to make your very own Rainbow Starry Jelly Stars quilt just like mine! If you can’t find Starry in stock currently, I know that shops will be restocking in spring!
