Time For a Change

My hair started falling out like crazy in April.  Ugh.

And now that it’s finally stopped, I was left with really long, but really thinned out hair.  I had been keeping my hair long out of necessity because…who has time to do hair when caring for a baby?!  I’m guilty of living with it pulled back into a bun, ponytail or topknot…and going weeks without being able to blow dry it after showering or even being able to just wearing it down (guess who likes to grab fistfuls of hair and yank with all her might?!).

So I figured it was time for a change at my hair appointment last Wednesday.

A little voice inside my head kept chanting “Chop it off, chop it off”…and I listened.

And I have to say that I LOVE it.  So far, it’s been a lot easier to care for, quicker to blow dry, easier to curl if I have the time, and it even looks good if I let it air dry with a little bit of this in it (my miracle when I don’t have time to dry it!).

The top photo is with a bit of curl and the bottom is straight and just dried with a paddle brush.  So easy!  And the best part…Millie hasn’t been able to grab it as easily, lol!

Best decision I’ve made in a while and I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner!

new short hair teething necklace

And not hair related buuuut the necklace I’m wearing in the photo above is a teething necklace that has been amazing with keeping Millie occupied while we are out.  It’s from an adorable small business called The Vintage Honey Shop, run by two super sweet moms!  I’ve bought a total of 5 necklaces from them (I have 3 nursing necklaces which don’t have a wooden ring, a ring teething necklace and a silicone teething necklace).  All of which are super cute!  Also, get 15% off any order with code MODERNMOMMYHOOD!  🙂

Here’s to short hair, easy updos, and things that make teething a little less of a headache!

Happy Monday!
