What a Beautiful Day!
It was an absolutely gorgeous day out today! Blue skies, a little bit of a breeze and in the mid 70’s…perfect recipe for taking Mabel outside for a photo-shoot! I’d been dying to test out my new camera. And if you’re wondering, I ended up getting a Nikon 5100. Totally worth the money!
I hadn’t had a chance to get pictures yet outside in natural light so I was pretty excited for Mabel to get herself into a good enough mood that she’d tolerate me snapping pictures. I grabbed a green minky blanket of hers and laid it on the ground to make for an interesting background and then plopped Mabel down. This was the end result:

Good choice.. I have a Nikon as well 😉 You'll love that camera more and more every day! That picture is fabulous! Great job getting the 'catch light' in her eyes.. that's not always easy to do! Did you do any editing to it?
Also, to get the most of your camera, I would suggest getting a good quality lens! You'd be amazed at the difference. I have the 35mm 1.8 and the 50mm 1.8 and both are FABULOUS, for a good price.
I can see your face reflected in her eyes, also the beautiful sky of that day!
