Let’s face it…laundry is a fact of life when you have kids! I do laundry constantly…and I only have one child! We fly through dryer sheets and they get expensive, not to mention they have chemicals in them that I don’t like to use but up until now I thought they were the only way to get my clothes soft and static free.
And recently I was introduced to Woolzies! I had never heard of dryer balls before and was really curious to what they were and how they worked.
Woolzies are fist size balls of 100% pure New Zealand wool…all natural and no chemicals! They are also hypo-allergenic and even people who have a sensitivity to wool can use them since the balls will not shed off onto your clothes.
They are supposed to take up to 25% of drying time off of each of your loads, reduce wrinkles and static…and last for over 1,000 loads! And they guarantee it or will give you your money back.
I like it when companies stand so strongly behind their products.
So then came the time for me to try them out…I’ll admit I was skeptical. They sounded to good to be true! I followed the directions on the box:
And threw them into my dryer with a bunch of clothes and a blanket:
And guess what…all of the items, including one of Mabel’s thick fuzzy blankets, were done drying 15 minutes quicker than what they are without the dryer balls. All of the items were just as soft as with a dryer sheet and no static cracking sounds were heard as I pulled the items out of the dryer. Pretty amazing…
So now we can stop using dryer sheets in my family! I’ll be saving money by not buying dryer sheets so often and not using as much electricity for drying. Also, no more chemicals and extra trash since the dryer balls last over 1,000 loads!
You can get a box of 6 Woolzies Dryer Balls for $34.95 here AND I’m also giving away one Woolzies Box of 6 Dryer Balls to a lucky reader!
Giveaway is open to everyone, no matter where you live!
*I was given a box of Woolzies to review. All opinions are 100% honest and completely my own. I would never post a review of a product if I didn’t truly love it! : ) *
I have been on the hunt this month for an alternative to dryer sheets. Thank you for posting this! I love that they don’t have any chemicals. That’s really important to me for my baby!
I love that they reduce drying time!
So, I try to be all domesticated and such and make my own dryer balls…which I have done…but I can’t make them for the price!
Ooo can’t wait to try these!!
I LOVE this idea, I really want to try these 🙂
Eliminating static is major for me this time of year. I really want to try these!
Been using these for about a month for my 5 week old sons cloth and omg em I impressed. I would like some more because I don’t like to use the same ones for mine and my husbands cloths. I try to keep everything separate for my son since he is so young. Keeping my fingers crossed 🙂
I love how it cuts your drying time down!!!
I love that you wouldn’t have to use dryer sheets anymore! Gotta love saving money!
Wow! Sounds amazing. Anything that will help with chores and being green is a go for me!
I LOVE that they’re chemical-free!
These sound amazing! I’d love to have dry clothes quicker and without worrying about static. And 1000 loads?! Awesome!
I have heard all good things about Woolzies & can’t wait to try them!!!
I love the idea of no chemicals — my guys have sensitive skin, especially during the winter months. I’m currently using vinegar as a softener in the washer, but still have to occasionally use dryer sheets for static cling (with fleece, microfiber, etc). Woolzies sound like a great idea!
(plus, I’d love to use them to fluff our pillows in the dryer)
I love that they are reusable and not chemicals and how they cut down on your energy usage! Win, win, win. 🙂
I love the idea of dry balls, saving money on electricity is enough for me! And I can use them with my cloth diapers!
Reduce drying time!! Can’t wait to try it!!
I love the fact that they are natural, free of chemicals.
I tried something with similar claims, but it was plastic with little nubs all over it… This seems much more similar to actual dryer sheets! Thanks for sharing! 🙂 Anything that saves money, protects environment by reducing waste, and cuts out unnecessary chemicals is a winner in my book!
I love everything about them! the fact that they are all natural and last up to 1,000 loads is amazing!!!
Oh, I would want to try!
I’ve been looking at dryer balls for a long time and haven’t taken the plunge yet…but would love to try these!
I am impressed that Woolzies will shorten the dry time! That saves electricity too!
Really like the aspect that they are natural and I can use my essential oils to scent the laundry! Lavender scented sheets will help increase your sleeping pleasure !
I like that it can reduce drying time in clothes.
I’m impressed that they last so long!
I love that they cut down drying time, and that they do not leave a residue on your clothes!
I like that there are no chemicals and no static!
eco friendly!! i love it
I love that they are 100% natural.
I love that they can reduce the time my laundry takes to dry.
I love the idea of using a chemical-free softener.
I do not use dryer sheets. I try to stay as natural as possible for the health of my family. I love that these are obviously perfume free…super plus when you have children with asthma. I also love that they can reduce time of drying…do you know how much energy we use to dry our cloths…..
I also love the idea of not having to buy dryer sheets all of the time and these are chemical free! Even better!
No chemicals! We are moving to a no chemical home.
Love that they are free of harmful chemicals!
I love how you can use them with baby clothes unlike dryer sheets!
I bought a set of Woolzies mid last year and they worked great…until I dried a moving blanket with them. They haven’t worked well since. So I think avoiding using these dryer balls with rough wool is a good idea. I’ve been combing the web for some ideas as to how to revive my Woolzies. On another brand’s site, they recommended running them through a hot rinse cycle and then drying them on low. I’ll be trying that out. In the meantime, I bought another six to add to my collection. Generally, I have been very pleased with the results of using these dryer balls. Cheers to all, Ardith
