I’m the queen of newborn products and gadgets…and I’ll be quick to admit that I’ve loved bringing my reviews to you all! Today I’ll be talking about Boppy’s Newborn Lounger, which they sent over for Millie to test out shortly after her arrival.
I’m actually very familiar with Boppy as a company. I used one of their pregnancy pillows when I was pregnant with Mabel and owned two Original Boppy Pillows with both Mabel and Millie. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences and loved the quality of each of the three items I’ve owned, so I expected nothing less when the Newborn Lounger showed up!
Right out of the bag, I noticed how lightweight the lounger was but that it was also packed with a comfy stuffing that seemed like it would nicely support a baby. The fabric was adorned with a modern print which I really liked since it’s hard to find baby gear with a more stylish/modern look. Lastly, I noticed that there was a handle at the top of the lounger to make it easy to carry around.
First impressions were great so then it came time to try it out with Millie.
I was pretty impressed with how the recessed part of the lounger fit perfectly around Millie (the lounger is for babies up to 16 pounds), providing comfort and support at the same time. I sat myself on the floor right next to her and found that the lounger positioned her perfectly to look at me and interact. I’m all about making eye contact and talking to her…hey, you gotta work on that stuff to help with your little one’s development right from the start! We’re currently working on cooing and smiles right now! 🙂
And remember that handle I mentioned earlier when I first looked over the Newborn Lounger? I found it to be perfect when moving about the house with Millie in one arm and the lounger in the other. Boppy has thought of everything!
Okay so you’re probably wondering about care (who has time for something super complicated to clean?!). Well, the lounger can be simply wiped clean if your little one has an oops…trust me, I know since Millie is spitter-upper! And if it needs a better clean, it is machine washable.
