The Fairy Dust quilt pattern is a fantastic sprinkling of patchwork stars with a dash of cosmic trails! Grab your fat quarters and prepare to be enchanted!

I’m a few months late posting about this beauty but what’s new? I seem to be fashionably late for everything these days (I really do try my best but there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done that needs to be). I *finally* had time to sit down this weekend and write up this post about the Fairy Dust quilt pattern, which I absolutely adore!
I released Fairy Dust this past December and I can’t get enough of it, especially this sample quilt. I had been wanting to use that gorgeous black/gold starry print as a background for awhile now and this quilt was the perfect time to use it! I paired the background with a handful of vibrant Speckled prints and they were a match made in heaven!

The quilt has a beautiful simplicity to it…at the same time, paired with a lot of movement through the design. The pattern is perfect for confident beginners and is a great way to hone in on classic patchwork sewing skills.
Now, in case a you’re looking for more examples of the Fairy Dust quilt, I’ve made a few mockups in other collections. The pattern works beautifully for prints as well as solids!

This mockup has the same fabrics I used in my quilt, just with the dark background switched out for a lighter, multicolored Starry background by Alexia Marcelle Abegg for Ruby Star society. Stars and trails are once again from the Speckled collection by Rashida Coleman Hale.

This version is in Morris Manor by Barbara Brackman for Moda.

This mockup is paired with the Teddy and the Bears collection by Sarah Watts for Ruby Star Society.
And finally, this is a blue monochrome version of Fairy Dust in the Water collection by Ruby Star Society:

The pattern really does look fabulous in any fabric collection! I have so many more versions that I want to make…I just need a Fairy Quiltmother to give me some extra quilting time, ha!
