Jelly Hearts Quilt Pattern

Love is in the air with the Jelly Hearts quilt pattern: a jelly roll friendly pattern!

Okay so I’m a little late with posting about the release of the Jelly Hearts quilt pattern…it’s now April and this pattern made its debut in January. Oops! But heart quilts aren’t just for Valentine’s Day, they are for every day!

Jelly Hearts is the third pattern in my jelly roll series of patterns and I’m over the moon about it! My oldest daughter was born on Valentine’s Day so I’m a tad partial to heart quilts since they make me think of her…and this quilt is no exception.

For this specific version of Jelly Hearts that I made, I selected a variety of pink/red/purple fabrics from various Ruby Star Society collections. I used the 1/4 yard option that the pattern gives so that I could pick my own fabrics (the jelly roll friendly option is listed in the fabric requirements as well). I tend to lean heavily towards picking pink fabrics in the majority of my quilts so I felt like sewing this pattern up was a dream!

I quilted my Jelly Hearts on my domestic machine. I chose to go the simple option of a wavy stitch width length across the quilt. This is one of my favorite ways of quilting at home since it’s quick and super forgiving. Plus, it also adds a bit of movement to the quilt.

And of course, this pattern looks fabulous in other color/fabric combinations! Just because it’s a heart quilt, doesn’t mean it has to be pink! Here are some mockups that I created to prove it:

Jelly Hearts in various low volume prints, all from Ruby Star Society

I want to make them all! Especially the low volume version since I’ve been really drawn to low volume quilts lately!
