Spaced Out Quilt Pattern

Nothing beats a fat quarter friendly quilt pattern with stars! Spaced Out is now available!

Star quilts will forever and always be my favorite to make and create. I guess that’s pretty obvious due to the fact that over 90% of my patterns are some form of patchwork stars. I also LOVE fat quarter friendly patterns (most of my patterns are FQ friendly as well) so Spaced Out is both full of stars and pre-cut friendly!

This quilt pattern lets you play around with a lot of great fabrics and you can see in my pictures, I probably had too much fun picking mine out! I chose a variety of prints, all from various Ruby Star Society collections, and I really feel like the pattern showcased them all beautifully. Especially those cute little goats!

If you’ve been following me on my quilty journey for awhile now, this pattern may remind you of my Starshine pattern. Starshine is one of my favorites from the past and I decided to revisit the tiny square elements that I really enjoyed! The mini squares got a creative overhaul and create the ‘space’ in the new Spaced Out pattern.

All prints in this Spaced Out quilt are from various Ruby Star Society collections.

But before I even sewed up my bright and colorful Spaced Out quilt version, I first sewed up a more neutral and earthy version. This quilt was created for my dad…who I though would appreciate this color scheme a tad more than my normal brights.

It’s not quilted or bound yet since I’m waiting to meet up with him to let him pick fabrics for the backing and binding along with letting him tell me how he’d prefer it to be quilted.
