It’s WEDNESDAY! And do you know what that means?! It means that the Framed Folk Quilt pattern is finally available in the shop!
This pattern has been a labor of love for the past several months and I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally be releasing it.
My goal was to create a quilt pattern that was Fat Quarter (FQ) friendly and would compliment many combinations of fabrics…and I think I succeeded!
The quilt pattern includes 4 sizes: baby, rectangular throw, square throw, and twin. I also included very detailed steps, lots of diagrams and a few pictures too!
The quilt in the photos above with all the blues and yellows was actually my third Framed Folk quilt. And it’s quite amazing how different fabrics can make the same quilt pattern look completely different!
Let me show you my first Framed Folk quilt:
This quilt was my more patriotic version, jam packed with Red, White and Blue! The fabrics are all Art Gallery and the FQs are all from their Bundle Up Americana Edition. It’s a great bundle that was already perfectly curated for this quilt!
My second version was a winter holiday themed quilt for my 6 year old daughter (it was her gift for Christmas 2018). The fabrics were a mix of Frost collection fabrics from Cotton and Steel (the lovely ladies are now over at Ruby Star Society) and coordinating solids.
It’s safe to say my daughter loved her new quilt! And as a quick fact…I actually created this pattern with these fabrics in mind. I wanted a pattern that would allow me to fit the cardinal fabric in the center block (you can see them in two of the blocks in the pic above). That’s how this pattern was born! 😉
I was lucky enough to have some pattern testers try out the Framed Folk quilt a few weeks before its release. I can’t thank them enough for helping me through this process and I wanted to show off their gorgeous versions! Because who gets tired of looking at pretty quilts, right?!

I love this unique pattern. So interesting that the colors make the quilt a totally different one.
Hi Morgan, can you tell me where the fabrics are from for the yellow and blues one?
