Hello Pattern – Signature Quilt

This fat quarter friendly quilt pattern is a modern pop-art inspired quilt that also can be used as a signature quilt!

The Hello quilt was an idea that had been floating around in my head for years and earlier this year I finally got around to drafting it and turning it into an actual pattern. I’ve always loved the classic little name tags and thought they’d make a great quilt…I was right!

Each block is traditionally pieced which means there is no FPP (foundation paper piecing) involved. I really enjoyed making each block and picked a fun selection of prints for the quilt you see in this post. I went with only Ruby Star Society prints from a various collections…but I limited my colors to pinks, reds and purples. The background is the perfect low volume print, Mini Starry in Neon Pink, also from Ruby Star Society. I found that it added a perfect bit of color to help make it a tad different than the white used in the letters and the main part of the name tag.

The most fun thing about this pattern is that it can be used exactly as shown OR it’s perfect to use as a signature quilt! You can easily have guests at weddings, baby showers, birthdays or any other event sign the label part of each name tag! I’ve also seen makers applique names and words on each label. The ways to personalize each block is endless.

And if red/pink/purple aren’t your colors…the pattern works great with other colorful fabric collections too! If you’re planning on using the quilt as a signature quilt for an event, it’s really easy to curate the colors to fit the event.

The mockup above is the Eye Candy collection for Ruby Star Society and has a a really fun vibe!
