Jelly Ghosts Quilt Pattern

The second pattern in my ‘Jelly Series‘ of jelly roll friendly quilt patterns, Jelly Ghosts, has arrived!

With the success of the Jelly Stars pattern, it made sense to ‘scream’ up the next pattern of the series with ‘boo-tiful’ ghosts for Halloween! Jelly Ghosts is traditionally pieced with step by step row instructions, making it easy to create your own unique Halloween quilt!

My quilt and the mockup above used fabrics from the Hey Boo collection by Lella Boutique. I used 2 jelly rolls so that I could pick out specific prints but the pattern includes directions on how to use 1/4 yard cuts as well. It’s really easy to use just 1 jelly roll and supplement a few extra WOF cuts so that you don’t have to use 2 jelly rolls if you prefer not to have leftover strips.

Between making my Jelly Ghosts quilt top, we actually made a huge move from living in South Korea all the way to the Washington DC area (my husband is in the US Air Force so we move frequently). In our new rental home, we have a fantastic backyard so I had to take the photo below with just a spooky feeling to it! Can you tell I’m ready for Halloween?!

And for good measure, below is a mockup of Jelly Ghosts in another collection of fabrics, the Tiny Frights from Ruby Star Society collection! I actually have these jelly rolls waiting to be sewn up into another Jelly Ghosts quilt BUT they are currently still making their way to us from South Korea. Our stuff had to be put in a shipping container and make its way over the Pacific Ocean, through the Panama Canal and still has yet to make it to us in the Mid-Atlantic almost 3 months later. I’m trying to be patient, lol!

As soon as I get my fabric back from the movers, I’ll be sure to share my Tiny Frights version of the pattern over on Instagram.

In the meantime, you can get a copy of the Jelly Ghosts PDF pattern in my shop if you’re ready to sew up your own. There are more patterns in the works for the Jelly Series, so stay tuned!
