Jelly Plus Quilt Pattern

The newest pattern to join the Jelly Series of Quilt Patterns is Jelly Plus!

Jelly Plus is the fifth and final pattern in my jelly roll series (well, I probably shouldn’t say final pattern since who knows, I may add another pattern in the future). I’ve had a lot of fun creating these quilt patterns over the past year and a half so it feels great concluding the series with Jelly Plus. It’s an easy jelly roll quilt pattern; the easiest out of all the series. It’s all straight cuts and straight seams, so if you’re trying to figure out which of the five in the series to start with, I suggest this one. 😉

The pattern is written for both jelly roll strips and 1/4 yards if you prefer to pick your own fabrics and cut your own WOF strips.

I used fabrics in Rashida Coleman Hale’s Washi Plus collection for Ruby Star Society and it couldn’t be more perfect, could it?! The tape prints just flow so nicely within the pattern and I added in a few bold colors of her basic Speckled collection in as well, just to break up the prints.

One sample wasn’t enough so I created a second Jelly Plus…the version I’m calling the blue edition, I think you can see why:

I had never used Kaffe Fassett fabrics before and I so glad I branched out and tried something new! These fabrics look so good together!

The bold prints and colors are mesmerizing! If you’re inspired to try Kaffe Fassett, you can find them through Free Spirit Fabrics.

My ten year old has claimed this quilt as hers (she’s in love with everything blue currently) and has picked a light blue cuddle/minky fabric for the backing along with a corresponding Kaffe Fassett blue print for the binding. I’m currently quilting it on my domestic machine and will update on Instagram when it’s done.

I hope you’ve had fun following along with the Jelly Series for almost two years! If you want to get your hands on a copy of Jelly Plus, you can find it in the shop!
