Pump Up The Volume

Flat
Straight
Fine

Those three words describe my hair to a T.

I’ve never been one to be able to let my hair air dry…because if I do, my hair looks like limp straw. When I try to do a messy bun, I get a body-less bump of hair. And when I try to style with curls or waves, they normally fall flat within an hour.

Flat haired girl problems, right?! Lol! Well with a little product searching, I’ve found a few things that have helped me to banish my hair whoas…and turn them into hair wows!

Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume

Flat Haired Girl Problem #1 = Picking shampoos and conditioners that weigh your hair down. I’m guilty of picking products that are wrong for my hair, ones that leave my hair mashed down and slick looking even after drying. Yikes! This past online shopping trip, I ordered the Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume Collection and decided to give them a go. I noticed that they were specifically designed for women who want thicker looking hair (me, please!). It was an added bonus that I loved the scent when they arrived.

Flat Haired Girl Problem #2 = Using a sub-par hairdryer. I swear by a good hairdryer…all hairdryers are not created equal! And you’ll totally understand this if you’ve even been stuck on a trip and have had to use a hotel hairdryer. Do you research and find a hairdryer that specifically recommended to help create volume. Also, dry the roots of your hair while leaning your head upside down…works miracles for adding a bit of lift to your hair! 😉

Flat Haired Girl Problem #3 = Styled hair falls flat quickly. In addition to using conditioner and shampoo for fine hair, you’ll have to use a finishing product to help keep that full-bodied volume all day! I’ve been using Pantene Pro-V’s Airspray Strong Hairspray lately and have been impressed with it’s light and natural feeling but long lasting hold (plus, it’s alcohol free too!). My waves have actually held all day!

After trying the Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume Collection for a few weeks now, I’ve been very happy with the results. Hands down, if you’re looking to try something new for your hair, give Pantene a chance (and who doesn’t like having Amazon ship it right to your house?!). Let your hair shine just like you do!

Do you have a fine or flat hair? Have any tips you’d like to share with me? I’m always up for trying something new!

I have ALWAYS had flat, fine, straight hair, and I’ve ALWAYS wanted volume! However, I’ve NEVER been successful in achieving any kind of volume. I’ll definitely try these Pantene products. Thanks for your post.

**GIVEAWAY CLOSED** Winner = @shadylynnb! DAY 9 = Santa’s Greeting Block + GIVEAWAY! Santa loves his HO, HO, HOs right?! 🎅🏼🎅🏽🎅🏿 So I figured for Day 9 of the #QuiltmasSpectacular, I’d give you the #SantasGreetingBlock, a free quilt block that’s plain and simple...and all about the man who likes cookies, drinks milk and brings gifts to children. 🙌🏻 What’s there not to love?! ❤️ Find the link in my profile to get your hands on the free pattern for this cute little block! . 258 178
It’s done and is now part of the #quiltsinthewasher gang! 🙌🏻 It will be packed up and shipped off to @themakingsofjoy to then be donated to #quiltsforthefatherless. It makes my heart so happy! 🥰 572 38
I’m another year older 🎉(and hopefully wiser) since I last posted…and figured I’d start by forcing myself to do something other than quilting with straight lines! 🙌🏻😂 I think I’ve put it off for so long since the perfectionist in me can’t stand trying things that I’m not good at (I like living within my quilty comfort zone 🙈). Buuuuut you have to start somewhere right? I’m attempting an orange peel quilting design and I’ll just have to go with the flow and not beat myself up too much over errors. It’s sooooo hard to let go though! I’m sure some of you know what I’m talking about. Wish me luck! 🤞🏻 411 61
🎉 And today the tester celebration comes to an end! 🎉 These final three ladies deserve a round of applause for their #DayTripQuilt versions! 📷 In order of quilty appearance = @finleyfabric, @sarahsew_sew and @spoolsandspice (they are tagged in their photos too!) Head to their accounts to see what they’ve been up to, you won’t be sorry (because who doesn’t love finding new quilt friends?!) And as with every pattern release, I owe a huge thanks to all of my testers. They dedicate themselves to sewing up a quilt and picking over my pattern to make sure all my math is correct along with hunting for all those grammar mistakes. 🙈 All so that my pattern is ready to go for its release date! 🙌🏻 I’m forever thankful to all of the testers I’ve shared with you this past week. 🥰 #patterntester #quiltpatterntester 516 8
Just when you thought I was done celebrating tester pics...I’m not! 📷 Genna of @wetmountainquiltco left me speechless with her #DayTripQuilt and her incredible photos! She is one of my all time favorites at taking #quiltsinthewild pics so go see for yourself over on her account! Stay tuned for the last two tester pics tomorrow. Then I’ll give it a rest! I promise! 😉🙌🏻 . 421 14
