I am a Step2 Ambassador and am partnering with Step2 for the following review. I received a product in exchange for my review and honest opinion. 🙂
A gorgeous day outside yesterday was the perfect opportunity to introduce Little Miss Mabel to her brand new playhouse!
Take a look at her reaction here:
We had put together the house the night before and it was pretty easy but I recommend having an electric drill! I started off doing it by hand…and the power drill made all the difference! We also slightly pre-drilled the holes which also made things go a little faster!
Mabel’s first reaction was to inspect our work, lol!
All the details like the faux wood grain, edges, and stickers really helped pull the house together and give it an overall quaint and and welcoming feel. Also, I really liked how the door clearance and the top of the playhouse looks like it has room for older and taller kids. This way, it’ll grow with Mabel and she’ll be able to get a lot of use out of it.
As Mabel continued to explore her new playhouse, she discovered the grill…
With a functioning lid and little knobs that click when turned, she found it to be very intriguing! The grill comes equipped with tongs and a spatula that hang neatly underneath it (on hooks so they don’t blow away when it’s really windy!). I can’t wait until she can ‘grill’ me some hotdogs! 🙂
Mabel then decided she was going to explore the other side of her Great Outdoors Playhouse!
Even though Mabel was using the back of her playhouse as footholds to climb in, they are actually little flower boxes! Fully functioning with drain holes, we plan on planting some real flowers when the weather gets a little better. I’m thinking maybe some hearty carnations?!
And here is one of my favorite parts:
A working water pump and paddle wheel! Now, it was too cold for us to actually try it out yesterday but I can see this being a ton of fun in the summer when Mabel can splash and play! The bucket comes with the house so all you need is water!
I’m really impressed with the quality and durability of this playhouse! We’ll be putting it to the test in the near future when we move so I’ll give you an update on how it fares after getting beat up by the movers.
If you’re interested in the Great Outdoors Playhouse, just a heads up: It’s a Toys R Us exclusive which you can pick up at your local store. 🙂 Find it here.
Thanks again to Step2 for allowing us to try out this playhouse. As always, all opinions are 100% my own.
