Weekend Roundup (7/28/13)

The first big accomplishment of this weekend was getting another vlog done!  It’s just a simple update on myself and what I’ve been up to.  It goes over my recent weight loss, whether or not we’re trying to conceive, and why I’ve spent pretty much my entire weekend trying to clean and get my house in shape.  🙂  If you haven’t seen it yet, you can find it here.

When I wasn’t cleaning…Mabel and I were enjoying some new books that I ordered her:

Noodle Books - Nosy Crow

We’ve had Noodle Loves the Zoo for about a month now and it’s turned out to be Mabel’s ‘go-to’ and all time favorite book.  I figured I would order her three more as a surprise.  There are several more books in the series too which I think I’ll get for her over the next few months.  If you haven’t checked them out, I suggest that you do since they are awesome!  😉  Each page has a touch/feel element which is why I think she loves them as much as she does.

Mabel also had fun taking over my new glasses:

Elton John Mabel

I think she was trying to channel her inner Elton John…lol!

Soooo other than all of the unfolded laundry that still remains for me to finish tonight, it was a pretty good and uneventful weekend!

Did you do anything neat this weekend?

Hello! I’m the publisher of the Noodle books (we’re a small, independent company based in London, and we love to hear of parents’ and children’s responses to our books. The company was founded by parents, and we’re much keener on making books that really work for children than making books that reviewers love or that win prizes. We blog every weekday on http://www.nosycrow.com/blog, and we’d love you to do a guest blog post about you reading the Noodle books to Mabel and her response. Do let me know if you’d be interested. A paragraph’s enough. A few other mums have done guest blogs for us.
